History of PT. Bhanda Ghara Reksa (Persero)

PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (Persero) or hereinafter referred to as BGR was established on 11 April 1977 as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in warehousing services. Until now, 100% of its shares are still owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of BUMN as shareholders. The idea of ​​establishing BGR was based on the need for a business entity that could manage supporting facilities for adequate fertilizer distribution facilities in the form of warehouse facilities that reached out to agricultural centers. At that time, the government built a warehouse of 32 units, namely in Java, Bali, South Kalimantan through the Ministry of Trade, which began in 1975 until 1977.

BGR's main business is providing, renting and managing warehouse space, both closed and open (open storage) and providing other warehousing services. In its development, BGR added transportation services both land and air and management of export-import and combined them with existing warehousing services into logistics service packages. In line with that, in order to take a position in its business competition, BGR complements its activities with relevant supporting services, namely pest control and fumigation services. In 2004, BGR developed a Collateral Management Service (CMS) which provided significant operating profit. BGR also added Waste Logistics services called Waste Integrated Solution (WIS) in 2016.

Until now, BGR has a role as a provider of warehousing and logistics services that has an infrastructure network in almost all parts of Indonesia. Recorded Branch Offices managed by BGR are 24 branches. Bangka Belitung is the youngest sub-branch recently opened on September 3, 2014. In terms of facilities, BGR currently manages around 600 warehouses consisting of owned warehouses, rental warehouses and management warehouses covering an area of ​​around 1 million square meters spread throughout Indonesia. Owned Warehouse as many as 150 units with a capacity of 455,800 tons, Warehouse Rent as many as 200 units with a capacity of 756,500 tons and Warehouse Management as many as 129 units with a capacity of 342,632 thousand tons.

The long journey of 40 years and the company's ability to make a positive contribution to its stakeholders has proven that BGR is a reliable company.
